    Ed Chen, M.Ed, RCC-ACS, CCC

    Ed is a BCACC registered, CCPA certified clinical counsellor, and a BCACC Approved Clinical Supervisor.

    As a clinician, Ed has extensive experience in delivering Dialectical Behavior Therapy to high-risk adults, youths and families experiencing concerns such as suicidality, self-harm, impulsivity, depression, anxiety, trauma, and addictions.

    As a trainer, Ed has undergone the Train the Trainer Program under Dr. Marsha Linehan’s Behavioural Tech Institute. In addition to the foundational DBT and RO-DBT treatment programs, Ed is also trained in DBT for Substance Use Disorders (DBT-SUD), DBT Skills in Schools (DBT STEPS-A), DBT for Adolescents (DBT-A), and DBT for Trauma (DBT-PE) Protocols.

    Ed also has considerable background in DBT program development in government agencies, community services, and schools. Ed’s DBT Program for Young Parents in Schools was nominated for a Premier’s Award for innovation. Ed’s work has also been featured on major publications such as Medium, Authority Magazine, Insights Magazine, and Bold Journey Magazine.

    Shawna Zuda, MCP, RCC

    Shawna is a Registered Clinical Counsellor with the BCACC.

    Shawna has significant experience in working with adolescents and families experiencing concerns related to high risk behaviours such as self harm, suicidality, impulsivity, emotional dysregulation, high interpersonal conflicts, anxiety, depression, and trauma. Shawna provides DBT treatment for adults, youth, and families both in individual and group formats.

    Shawna is trained in comprehensive DBT, DBT for Adolescents Protocol (DBT-A) and DBT for Substance Use Disorders (DBT-SUD) Protocol. Shawna also holds the Therapeutic Game Master Certification through the American Psychological Association.

  • Georgia Hood, RSW, MSW, BSc

    Georgia is a registered clinical social worker with the BC College of Social Workers.

    Georgia brings extensive experience supporting vulnerable youth, adults, and families. She began her career as a Guardianship Social Worker, providing care and advocacy for children and youth in government care, and has since developed a strong foundation in trauma-informed practice. Her passion lies in offering compassionate, evidence-based support to individuals navigating complex life challenges, helping them enhance their overall well-being and quality of life.

    As a clinician, Georgia is trained in comprehensive DBT treatment and continues to integrate DBT principles into her clinical practice to help her clients build their lives worth living.

CONSULTING PSYCHIATRISTS

  • Dr. Amanda Degenhardt is clinical faculty in the Department of Psychiatry at University of British Columbia (UBC) and a staff psychiatrist specializing in child and adolescent psychiatry in the Fraser Health Authority. She has been on a number of executive committees and boards within the Canadian Psychiatric Association, American Psychiatric Association (APA), and within her psychiatry residency program at UBC. From 2017, Dr. Degenhardt was awarded one of the 2 year APA Leadership fellowships. She is currently a member of the APA Borderline Personality Disorder guidelines working group and was a member of the APA Schizophrenia guidelines working group.

  • Dr. Helen Rosenauer is a licensed psychiatrist with a specialization in children and youth psychiatry. Well renowned and respected throughout BC and Canada, Dr. Rosenauer has experience serving as the lead consulting psychiatrist for a number of provincial initiatives, such as the Developmental Disabilities Mental Health Program of BC, and Child and Youth Mental Health of BC. Furthermore, She has also provided her extensive expertise in child psychiatry as the consulting psychiatrist at BC Children's Hospital and the BC Youth Forensic programs.
